Fear versus Faith

The mind guides the body. It's our most powerful weapon. I'm learning how faith & fear in our minds can control our lives and ourselves.
Fear is a powerful weapon; against us. It paralyses you. Suffocates you. It affects your present and your future. But faith? Faith keeps you going, moving. It keeps you head above water. Faith is a weapon in your favour. For those who choose faith, there's a future. For those who choose fear, you stop moving.

It's truly important to give our worries to God and enter his rest, cast our anxiety on Him about the future, because tomorrow belong to Him and we do too. He made us. He gave us life. When will we understand that we are His? That we can't control anything because the breath of life we have inside of us comes from the breath of life called Jesus Christ. We need to trust the One who protects us. The One who chose us for a greater purpose.

Life can be so overwhelming sometimes, the night can be dark where you find yourself gasping for air, scared, but even in those moments Jesus is right there with you. He promised to never leave us nor forsake us. However, we need to make a decision daily to enter his rest. To let go of fear, let faith and trust in His plans take control and simply rest. Rest our minds. Our bodies. Our souls. The One who promised is faithful to fulfill it.

The mind is a powerful place, let's be careful with what we allow inside. We have to choose Jesus everyday.

Matthew 8:37-39
Soon a violent windstorm came up, and the waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was being swamped. But Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him and said, "Teacher, don't You care that we are perishing?" Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea.

Psalms 91:1:
Whoever dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 62:1:
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
