A Love That Is Enough

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
1 John 4:10

I think it's safe to say that all of us have experienced at least once the feeling of loneliness, of not being loved, cherished or appreciated enough by people we deeply care about around us.

We are needy of love & attention. To be heard. To be seen. We were made for community. It's a good thing to wish for. The problem is when we allow feelings & emotions to tell us a truth; for example: we only tend to believe we are loved when we feel loved, when we receive the approval, the compliment we worked so hard to receive, we associate everything with feelings, when I say: you are loved! I'm talking about your identity, not how you feel, if we let our feelings have the final word of who we are, we'll go down.

However, it's so hard to feel the opposite of who we are, of our own identity, I am loved but I don't feel that way, I feel lonely, I feel left out, people I thought were my friends don't reply to my messages and don't talk to me anymore, they're ghosting me, how can I believe I am loved?

You can believe you are loved because
God Is Love.
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:8

Your Father, Creator and best friend is love itself! Love cannot fail, because love is a perfect God. People can let you down, can break your soul, but love won't!

Love Himself said you ARE loved no matter how people make you feel, love Himself says He loves you, chose you & died for you, so never let your feelings or people tell you otherwise!
He will never abandon you, and you know why? Because He is love.

So start believing in your identity in Christ today, and your feelings will start to follow, and when they don't, remind yourself all over again that feelings don't last, and don't have the last word, love does, and His for you is enough.
Love loving you is enough.
Love living inside of you is enough.
